Nerve Conditioning For Mixed Martial Artists

Do you ever find that when you are either get punched, kicked or slammed to the mat that your nerves on your skin seem to be extra sensitive to the sting of the blow. Here is a tip that you can do to help make your nerves less sensitive to pain. Have yourself stand under your shower with only the cold water running. On your first attempt try standing underneath it for 1 minute in length and increase your length of time under the cold water each and every time by at least 15 to 30 seconds, but remember to honestly push yourself each and every time so you get the full benefit of the exercise. This exercise will help deaden your nerves so you are less hampered by the sting of blows and also force yourself to work through periods of pain to help increase your pain threshold to outlast your opponent.

It's not the size of the man in the fight...it's the size of the fight in the man that counts.
