Mixed Martial Arts & Sledge Hammers

Here is one of many different exercises you can do using a sledge hammer. Use either with a one or two handed grip when doing these overhead and side arm swings. Make sure you are in a safe area isolated area where no one is around. It is best to hit larger objects such as large tires. This exercise is great for conditioning and work your grip, abs and legs. Try doing 20 overhead swings followed by 20 side swings from the left and 20 from the right.

In future posts I will go over other tools around your home to help condition and improve your mixed martial arts game. Remember the size of your muscles doesn't equal strength. Train your muscles to have strength endurance for that's what really matters in the ring not swollen bodybuilder muscles that are only good for very short periods of time.
